Stand-up is about the 2 spoken word genres: Standup comedy and Poetry Slam - it's all about comic and reading poems out loud.
The whole purpose of this subject is to enrich you with a firm knowledge of writing jokes and the creative process of writing poems using just a mic, your body and voice, while creating funny and exciting performances.
We are going to work with standing in front of big crowds, doing a 3 min. standup performance or reciting a poem that could be at IHS or somewhere in Sønderborg.
Through different games, exercises and videos, stand up specials and poetry slams – we will work on using the spoken word genre as a creative outlet and media for telling your story, express thoughts, opinions about life in a creative, exciting and personal way.
Stand up is available in the spring 3rd term and in the fall 1st term
